KATAKLYSM: 'Massive Pit Violence' To Be Shown On Canadian National Television
December 3, 2006Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM will be featured on a metal documentary for the program "Méchant Contraste!" that will be aired on Canadian national television (Télé-Québec channel). According to a band update, the group's "massive pit violence" encountered at the Rouyn Nornada show in Quebec, Canada last month, among other things, will be shown during the program. KATAKLYSM filmed its performance this past summer at the Party.San Open Air festival in Bad Berka, Germany for the band's new DVD, titled "Live in Deutschland (The Devastation Begins)". The set will feature the whole show filled with an explosive setlist, a 30-minute documentary covering the band's 15-year history and a bonus live CD. A February 20, 2007 North American release via Nuclear Blast is expected (January 26 in Europe).
As previously reported, Nuclear Blast Records will re-release KATAKLYSM's latest album, "In the Arms of Devastation", in North America to coincide with the band's upcoming U.S. tour. The album will be reissued on February 6 with new packaging and will contain the "The End of Serenity: Live in Strassbourg" DVD, which was filmed during the "Serenity in Fire" campaign in France. The CD will also contain all of the band's video clips and will be limited to 5,000 copies.
